sharp shooter mimics educational lacing boards frequently used in classrooms to assist young children with the development of fine motor skills.  Children are taught to use the lace to sew in and out of holes drilled or punched into a surface. Usually, the holes are positioned to outline an object. This piece sharply critiques the prevalence and staunch support of gun ownership in this country by placing guns in the hands of children while referencing the skills necessary for accurate marksmanship.
